Dct 5100 converter box
The clarity of the image really needs to be seen to be believed; it often appears as if you are just looking out a window at the image rather than looking at TV screen. More and more shows are added all the time in HDTV. They often will show movies not in their proper aspect ration; so a 2.
I am not much of a sports fan but lots of games these days are broadcast in HDTV, I did watch the superbowl this year and really looked great.
Hopefully before to long they will add it to the lineup. You can have it scale to either P, P or i. I have all my channels scaled to i. The scaler in the cable box is decent, nothing special, but it does look better than straight cable.
I have since removed this piece of equipment from my system. If you want a personalized image to appear with your comment you need a Gravatar. Sign up for a Gravatar today. It's free and easy. It has one DTV and two component inputs. Can i or p resolution be displayed using the component inputs. Funny how HDTV has changed television viewing forever. The crispness and vibrancy of the images are just amazing. I have a new tv samsung and Home theater receiver sony that are hooked up to both local cable and directv.
However, I have to connect the local cable direct to the tv since the sony reciever does not have a coaxle connector. I am wondering if the motorola dct would work with time warner cable e. Here is their response: "In response to your recent email, unfortunately RCN does not support customers owned converter boxes nor cable cards. All customers must rent these items. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. I requested an explanation on RCN's position on the law and this is their response: In response to your recent email, I do apologize for the inconvenience caused, however, this is an RCN "Rule and Regulation" Policy that has been set fourth due to the fact that RCN Technical Department can not troubleshoot other companies equipment.
I replied thanking them for sharing their internal policy but I would like to know their position on the law stating they must provide this service. Most commented news last week [43] Happy New Year!

I turned in my rented modem in August without any problems or charges. That box has two slots for cablecards. One caveat for using cablecards instead of a cable box is that they are only one-way. That means you will not be able to receive on-demand programming nor will you get RCN's program guides.
I didn't say it was a good deal. I was presenting an option to the OP's question about buying his own cable box. I've also read of problems folks have had with RCN's box like programs being erased with system software upgrades and skipping and pixelation making a show unwatchable. Personally I like the comfort of having my recordings reside on something outside the cable box and outside the control of RCN.
It's an FCC ruling. I did some searching on their website. Apparently some waivers were granted. A summary of the waivers: » fjallfoss. You can research other releases from them at: » www.
